Stephen B. Hesse Jr. has been practicing law since 1997 in the state of Texas. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. A distinction he has held for more than 10 years. He was recently in practice with Shawn Dick, the newly elected Williamson County District Attorney.
EXPERIENCE AS PROSECUTOR AND DEFENSE ATTORNEY IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY
Stephen spent 6 years as Assistant District Attorney in Williamson County. During this time he investigated and prosecuted the most serious crimes in Williamson County. In 2006 Stephen was recognized as “Prosecutor of the Year” by the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center for his efforts in fighting crimes against children. Stephen also served 4 years as Assistant District Attorney in Harris County before moving to Georgetown. Stephen has extensive jury trial experience in felony, misdemeanor and juvenile cases. His last assignment in Houston was a prosecutor in the Child Abuse Division. This elite division is charged with prosecuting serious felony cases committed against children. This experience with the State prosecution office allows him a distinct advantage in defending his clients from all types of criminal charges.
Stephen Hesse is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Defense Lawyers Association, Williamson County Bar and The Williamson County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Stephen is a graduate of Texas A&M University (1989) and South Texas College of Law (1997).
